Consultations
Consultations involve an in depth investigation into your present symptoms, along with a detailed medical history.
Some questions during consultations may not always seem relevant, such as questions on food preferences, sleep patterns etc but they enable your Homeopath to tailor your prescription to your own individual needs. This process explains why two people with similar, or seemingly identical, physical conditions may be prescribed different remedies.
If your condition is more long term and chronic then I would suggest using a specific method of practice which allows me to prescribe on a deeper consitutional level. Dr Rajan Sankaran pioneered this method, known as the Sensation Method, in India. It allows for a greater, more indepth understanding of the patient and their complaints, making the prescription more accurate for long term restored health.
There are several different methods of practice for prescribing Homeopathy, depending on the severity of your complaint:
Therapeutic and Acute Prescribing - For less chronic problems such as coughs, colds and other minor ailments. Initial consultations last one hour and follow ups half an hour.
Constitutional Prescribing using the Indian Sensation Method - For more chronic and complex conditions such as ME, Asthma, Eczema, Depression and Migraines. Initial consultations last two hours and follow ups one hour.
Children - For children under 16years the first consultation is approximately one to 1.5 hours, depending on the method used. Babies under a year will also need 1.5 hours as background of the pregnancy and birth are needed to understand the childs needs. Follow ups are from between half to one hour.
All details discussed during your consultation will remain confidential between you and your Practitioner.
